Hello Friends & Family,

Welcome to my first blog! It is here that I will write up blogs informing and keeping you up to date about my journey in missions, so please feel free to subscribe!

I’m sure many of you may have some questions, so here are the finer details as to what I’m doing.

What is the World Race? The World Race is a missions program, much like YWAM. The only bigger difference is that rather than serve in one country I have the opportunity to serve in 4 countries! These 4 countries are Guatemala, Cambodia, Thailand, and Romania. I will be gone for 9 months, starting late August and returning late May. We have a training camp for the first two months in Gainesville, Georgia before we leave for the field, and will then be split into smaller groups within that time. Training camp consists of team building, sermons, worship, staying in our own tent, hand washing our own clothes, and making memories.

What will I be doing in the field? I’m not a hundred percent sure of what we are exactly doing, but I know that they gave me a brief knowledge as to the different needs of the countries. Guatemala is  one of the most evangelical countries in the world, but still needs support, especially with the youth and keeping them safe.  Cambodia is still healing from one of the worst genocides in modern history, leading them to struggle with poverty and human trafficking. Thailand desperately needs more church planting within it, as only 10% of the country knows the gospel. Romania has a church planted, but still carries a lot of spiritual and physical needs. The ultimate goal is to meet their needs and hopefully continue to plant churches within them.

Why am I going on the World Race? I knew a mission was something I really wanted to do, it had always been on my heart, but I really wanted to allow God to do the work and leave it all in his timing. So as I waited, he allowed me to really grow in community and in relationship with him, all preparing me for this day! I loved the idea of being able to broaden my perspective and see things beyond what I’ve always known them to be. So here we are, finally preparing to leave for a mission, and I am so excited to see what God has in store for me in this amazing opportunity ahead of me!

What are my needs? First, is your prayers. I have a lot of preparations ahead of me, both mentally and physically, so please keep me in your prayers to persevere and trust in the Lord in all that he is doing! Second, I have to raise $17,000 dollars to go, because this helps pay for all travel and living costs. Then I have gear I need to buy, because we are full on backpacking this whole thing. So, if it’s on your heart to help support and fund me through this mission trip, I would really appreciate it. The link to my funding page is on the bottom or top of the vlog site, titled support, just click it and it should direct you straight to it. I also attached the link below.
